Mountain Buggy ATP Brake

The Mountain Buggy has a good solid brake with a positive sprung action that won't let you down.

Mountain Buggy Brake - brake off On the rear axle at each side of the basket is a brake lever, operating either lever applies the brake on both rear wheels.

With the lever up the brake is off.

Mountain Buggy Brake - brake on To apply the brake push the lever down (this can be a little difficult to do with a large walking boot on especially if the seat is fully reclined).

Once the lever has passed a certain point it springs down into place, projecting a steel rod into cogs on both of the rear wheels - locking the brake on.

To remove the brake flick the lever up, we recommend that you always use the safety wrist strap when walking so that if you should stumble the pushchair cannot run away from you.

For additional safety always park your Mountain Buggy ATP facing across a slope or up hill of an obstacle, e.g. a tree or rock.
