So if it's a shade why doesn't it protect against UV ?
Confused ?
Well as we understand it, it's like this... to be sold as a UV
protector the product must be tested to demonstrate that the amount of UV getting through
meets certain standards. Having these tests done is both expensive and time consuming.
This product does not have that relevent testing certificate and, who knows, if tested
perhaps it might not pass. BUT it can be sold as a shade because the material it is made
from has been tested and demonstrated to block more than 50% of the 'incident visible
sunlight' - what you see, or in this case what your baby doesn't see, is what you get !
If you buy one it is likely that the material it is made from will
remind you of some of the older style car window shades.
The Baby Car Seat Shade has BSI approval to be sold for use both in
and out of a car.
We hope this explanation is helpful.
