There
is something very special about dozing outside on a sunny day - a warm fragrant breeze,
the sound of birds and distance lawnmowers. Tranquility...but you may need some
protection. Made in New Zealand where they have summers the shade-a-babe may seem a bit 'over the top' for the British climate, but many customers take their pushchair abroad on holiday and we do get the odd day when a few hours sun can burn even an adult's skin. We offer it for use over two Cot Seats not just as a sunshade but also as an insect net and cat net. Unlike the single Shade-a-babe we sell which has been designed specifically to fit joggers/all terrain pushchairs this is a 'universal' fit .... and it doesn't fit very well - strange the way manufacturers use the word universal isn't it ! It fits over two cot seats OK but over standard seats, or one standard seat and one cot seat, it offers limited protection and is not ideal - as you can see from the pictures. If there was something better then we would offer it but this is the best available and as a multiple parent compromise and adapatability will already be cornerstones of your everyday life ! The double shade-a-babe fits over the sun canopy and elasticated straps secure it to the pushchair frame. It folds up compactly for storage in the underseat basket when not in use or can be fixed up to form a 'sun visor'.
Well made with quality materials the double shade-a-babe is made to last. If your child is particularly sensitive to sunlight or if you are holidaying where the sunlight is stronger than in the UK then it may be beneficial to use the shade-a-babe for an older baby/child in the standard pushchair seat. Note. When fitted to a Pegasus pushchair there is still a gap between the rear of the sun canopy and the top of the seat so the shade-a-babe does not afford 100% protection - but it's the best available. The Shade-a-Babe does not come with a bag but we can provide a durable storage pouch to keep it in good condition for £3.50. We can supply the Shade-a-Babe by mail order.
