| The
first walking guide book written especially for parents with young children who want to
enjoy the open countryside with their All Terrain Pushchair. Yes there are already many guide books with lovely walks much of
which would be accessible with an ATP...but not all. It can be disappointing to get just
so far and then have to turn back because one section of terrain or the presence of stiles
makes passage difficult or dangerous.
Ruth and Richard Irons (and their two children) have done the
research for you, detailing 30 walks in the North Lakelands area of the Lake District, a
place of outstanding natural beauty with some of the most stunning scenery in the UK.
As qualified outdoor pursuits instructors they know the importance
of careful planning, particularly on the high fells where weather conditions can change
dramatically.
With graded walks from 2km to 7km and of varying degrees of
difficulty you can choose something to suit you - a leisurely Sunday stroll or a more
ambitious hike across the windswept fells - confident that it's going to be a success.

walks in the book, reproduced here with the kind permission of the authors Ruth &
